Thanks for the link....I can't imagine trying to pitch on that. I've had some messed up ankles in my life also, and there's no way I'd be able to pitch with that.

However, we all have to remember that he was given cortisone shots for pain, so those pictures are probably a little deceiving. Not to say he wasn't in pain, I'm sure he was, but not quite like the pain we are all thinking after seeing those pictures.

Relax Sox fans, I'm not taking anything away from Schilling...he was magnificent.

that looks bad but i have seen worse (ruptured achilles). is it me or does schilling have chicken legs? seriously, they looked pretty skinny aside from the swelled part. maybe the swelling just makes the rest of his leg look small.
