I just traded for Eric Chavez and now he has an MRI upcoming. Anyone know how serious this is? As if RJ and Mariano aren't enough All-Star injuries.

Should I make this question a little easier to answer?

Well I can't tell how serious it is because that's why they perform an MRI. You'll have to wait and see. I know he did it diving for a grounder and landing the wrong way. If it's any consolation I own him and decided not to try and trade him before league members find out about the MRI.

he's been playing through this injury and doing fine. It should be no problem, but still watch it closely.

i think it's reason to be very aware. he would try and play through lots of pain. that he's admitting it would make me wonder how serious it is.

the X-ray came back negative. He has an inflamed shoulder.
Unaware of the injury, I traded Chipper and Phelps for him 2 days ago. 2 questions:
What do you think of that trade?
How serious is an "inflamed left shoulder"???

Its basically Chipper for Chavez. I like it. OF is much deeper than 3B.
Inflamed shoulder just needs a little rest. He'll be fine.

His MRI came back negative and he apparently was only held out of last night's game as a precaution and should play today. I don't think or hope it's anything to worry about.
