Your secret weapons for next year?

Moderator: Baseball Moderators

Postby mocabeenow » Tue Nov 09, 2004 9:06 pm

1) Player who breaks out big next year.

Jay Gibbons (i'm sensing a Brady year!), Jose Reyes (stay healthy), Torii Hunter,

2) Rookie who will have a big impact.

V-Mart, Crosby, McPherson, Reed

3) Semi-washed up veteran who comes back with big year.

Petitte-like-i-like-it, Bret & Aaron Boone, Sosa (he plays good when he's happy! :-)) Chipper, L. Gonzalez

Also, who will have the biggest drop-off?

Beltre, Pudge(i think injuries are going to catch up with him), Pavano, Bonds? (is he capable of dropping off?)

300-30-100-100 is what you should expect from Maggs. Nothing special, and he was VERY over-rated coming into this year. Leaving Chicago he also leaves one of the biggest hitters parks in the majors.

He should put up numbers similar to Huff, Lowell, Nevin, Jose Guillen, and his former teammate Carlos Lee. Along those lines. He's definately not the top OF many thought he was going into last year.

I really like Bonderman. It finally clicked with him at the end of the season and he not only became good he was dominant. There's no guarantee that he'll be this good next season, but he will come cheaply due to his overall numbers and is one heck of a low risk gamble.

Hey, Wrveres, did you check out the Rotobabes site yet? Check it out now because the featured model is something. Make sure you read her bio. If you aren't impressed you're not a man. No one told me about this shoot and I'm still fuming. My partner's explanation? I was busy with the projections. Bastage.
