I'm not in the market for one...so it really doesn't matter, but it's an emerging trend that deserves a discussion: $25 shipping?? Are you sending it to Russia and then back to the U.S.?
I guess if you win the auction at a great price, it's worth it, but so many people don't even take shipping into account. They are in for a bad surprise.
That's what pisses me off about ebay sales - the way people hide the cost in shipping and handling charges. What handling charges??
Now I only buy where the buyer pays actual shipping charges - I don't even bother with the ones that try to pull a fast one by hiding charges like that.
I agree, Slomo. The way to make money on Ebay is to jack up your shipping to ridiculous levels. I do factor this in to my bid, but I lose to a lot of people who don't seem to do the same.
I use this new trend of excessive shipping to my advantage by selling my item without shipping or very low shipping and using that as an advertising point. You'd be surprised how many people jump on to the "free shipping" idea and start bidding without compunction (that's right, compunction).

I have to agree. If that included insurance, then maybe $25 shipping would be ok, but that's definitely high without any insurance.
Guess if you win the auction cheap enough it would still be worth it, but that's pretty steep for just shipping.
