It's November 3rd on the east coast. Looks like it's done for. They couldn't wait to shut it down apparently. At least until the results were out would have been good I think and maybe some discussion afterwards. I guess they wanted to cut down on the tirade's people would have went on after they see that their candidate lost.
Personally, I wanted Kerry to win, but I'm fairly conservative so it's not a big deal. But I'm sure lots of people will be mad and don't blame the mods for shutting it down while everything was still cool. Kinda like Barry Sanders retiring I guess
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
Probably just best to nip it in the bud. If we think Sox/Yanks stuff gets a bit out of control, I'm sure we haven't seen anything yet. Especially with how on tilt everyone was with this election.
The forum did serve us well though. Have to admit that I was in there a whole lot more than I originally thought I would though.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
IMHO it sounds to me like one of the owners of this site are upset about the election results ..
Say whatever you want but it has been common knowledge that the Political Forum was going to go bye bye right after election day.
I, for 1, see both sides of it. While it would be nice to discuss what is happening, I can also see it just turning into a bunch of insults.
I agree with Lofunzo, it was the right move to make.
while five plus people were in the process of using it ... ???? its called sour grapes .. and you can spin that anyway you see fit
Relax, WR. With as heated as this election has been, we would probably have to wait until next Thursday to find a time when no one was using it. The fact is that we were told when it was going to be eliminated and it happened according to schedule. If that is spin to you, then you are wrong. If you think that political preference had something to do with it, then you really don't know anything about the people that run this place. Is keeping the PF open going to change anything?? Is it going to affect the election?? No and no. What are we going to talk about?? Who won this state or that state?? You can check Yahoo for that. For the record, I wasn't aware that the forum was locked until I noticed that I got no e-mail notifications for some time.

I agree. I went in there originally to make sure that it was running smoothly and to read a thing or 2 but it turned out to be a 2nd home for me.
