Shocking that a Fortune 500 company would sever ties with one of their leading spokesmen when that spokesman came out with very public, very personal criticisms of the company and its management. To think that this is NOT a business is naive, and to expect the Cubs organization to react differently than any other company in a similar situation is to live in a fantasy world. No matter how you or I perceive the Cubs, they are a business. They reacted to Stone like any other business would.
I still like Stoney a lot and wish him all the best. I'm just realistic about why he's gone, I guess.
