I've seen king at every Red Sox game in Boston... Is he writing a book on baseball?
Actually, I did hear something about a book being written about the Sox and I do believe King is the author. I could be wrong, but I do believe that's the case.
Thanks Mookie! Thought it was him, and I agree that King would be a great poster (in some sick and twisted way---but that's a compliment to his writing ).
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Thanks for the recommandation.
I just picked Ball Four up for .59 cents at a pawn shop.
So what made you bring this back to life after like 6 months????
but one suggested reading note;
Triumph and Tragedy in Mudville by Stephen Jay Gould is a great book
Road Swing by Steve Rushin is a good book
Like Red (sox) Book by Bill Lee isa really good book if your a sox fan
Went way back in the archives to bump this one I see.
If you like baseball history, and especially the history of pitching, The Neyer James Guide to Pitchers is a great pick up. I'm just now getting around to it after I finished Three Nights in August, which is another one I'd highly recommend.
Anything by Crichton, basically, DeMille is good too. Try Plum Island. Its a fun read. For baseball related, Sandy Koufax: A Lefty's Legacy by Jane Leavy.[/i]
ted williams biography by leigh montville and 3 or 4 years ago there was a biography of joe dimaggio that was excellent and lastly Lords of the Realm is a must read to get a sense of the inside workings of baseball
