There were plans for making a movie of James' life with Chappelle playing James. But I think they scrapped the idea after he died. That's what I heard, anyway.

Hadn't heard a word about it being a movie. I know Chappelle does skits, but other than that, I know nothing about it.

I was watching the best of Chappelle season 2 but they removed all the Rick James skits. I assumed that was because Rick James died and he was being respectful, maybe it was because he was going to make them into a movie and cash out!
