Does anyone think that the Sox would reach this point if Nomar was still on the team? I vote no.

Sad to say but Nomar made his own bed and now he can lay in it. He wanted out so he's out.

very slim chance....ocab was awesome defensively and not too shabby with the bat either.........

I agree. Cabrera stabilized the D and had some big hits. ;-D

Nomar is a much better hitter than Cabrera so it's kind of silly to say that they wouldn't have gotten where they are if Nomar was still around.

I bet that soon there will be stories popping up that Nomar called his ex-teammates to congratulate them and wish them well in the WS. Nomar's a good guy.

as much as i liked nomar, i dont really feel sorry for him. we offered him a big contact. he wanted more, could have stayed, but decided to shop around elsewhere. i wouldnt be surprised if he gets his ring soon, maybe
