Pics too big to fit the sig, please help me.

Alright, I'm technically challenged. I want to put different pictures in my sig but most of the ones I have are too big. How do I make pictures smaller? I don't even know where to start.

I've been havin the same problems in the times I've attempted to make Sox_Fanatic a sig. An answer would be appreciated... I'm using Fireworks.

Are you talking about the actual screen size of the picture or the file size?

I was talkin about the pic size.... Croppin it makes it look all fuzzy and bad.

Hmmm...cropping shouldn't do that. Are you maybe talking about resizing it?

Just as an example, I started out with this pic for my signature:

Anyway, I chopped portions of the top and bottom to reach a height of 100 pixels and chopped a little off the right side where you can see the middle of the magazine it was scanned from. Then, it basically became what I have in my sig. Sometimes you have to crop and resize to get to the desired size, but it shouldn't turn out fuzzy or anything (at least it doesn't in Photoshop). Can you maybe post or email an example to me (original and altered)?

I think I'm making progress. Not quite what I want. I'll probably be up all night now that I figured out which program to use.
