time to give up? Phelps, Huff?

Postby cddyson » Mon Apr 21, 2003 11:29 pm

What happened to Josh Phelps and Aubrey Huff. Is it too early to give up on these guys? I can't get anything for them at this point. 10 team 5x5, non-keeper

Excelpt in pretty deep leagues, Phelps probably isn't worth waiting for. If he were behind the plate it would be another matter, but he won't put up numbers good enough to make up for his dh-only eligibility.

Josh Phelps

I agree Josh Phelps is an over rated prospect. He hit a wall in his
career and by the look of it he is not willing to clear it. In my mind
I would rate Kevin Cash, (who just came up from the minors) as a
better catcher than Josh Phelps. Cash's only down fall would be his batting. Phelps needs to go down to the minors and get it together then give the majors another shot 2 or 3 years down the road.
