Are their any rumors of where Boone is going to end up next year. I have him on my team, and am thinking about keeping him for next year. And i'm seeing a pattern with this guy. Every other year he kills it! I think he's got one more year left in him. His first year with Seattle was his monster year. I'm hoping for another monster year with a new team.
I'll toss an odd one out there there though. Houston. They have quite a few free agents at the end of the year and they won't be able to sign all of them. Boone will be cheaper than resigning Kent. Probably won't happen, but just a thought.
If by some odd chance Boone winds up in the Juice Box, I might have to reconsider him for next year. Right now, I'm taking a pass though. Just not sold that he can come back to form and have a big year. Then again, if he falls far enough in the draft or goes to the Juice Box (or another hitter's park)...............?
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
Cubs and Dodgers also have an unsettled 2B situations. But I agree that he is not a good keeper candidate regardless unless you are allowed to keep a ton of players.
Possibly the Yankees, or any other team looking for a 2B. LA might want to make a run next year, and the Cubs too (although they seem content with getting fans out to the stadium, not winning).
I can't see Houston going for Boone though. They have Burke already, who doesn't have the power of Kent or Boone, but he's a good table setter to have in front of Biggio and Beltran. And they have other priorities to spend on. For instance, I'm sure Beltran is high on their list, as is Clemens and an RP. If they keep playing like this though, maybe they'll get a budget increase and make a run for Boone - just doesn't seem like a good move to me though.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
as far as boone though, i will still be hesitant of him really no matter where he signs.....
I agree unless it is a very deep league I wouldnt keep him.
I agree. I had him this year and was greatly dissapointed. Unless he falls pretty far I won't take him. I see it as why take a risk on a guy at a position where most people won't get that much production anyway? Maybe that's not a good idea, but just my take on it.
