StlSluggers, I amended this slightly

I may get sad.
I may get down.
I may get worried.

I will never quit believing in this team.

We'll get through this and WIN the Series. We just need to regain our 2 out hitting.
Let's Go Cards

How about clutch hitting in general? :-D Four errors and only two runs? :-o Rolen and Edmonds also need to get back on track, and a dose of the home crowd at Bush will help, and Pujols warming up will help too. ;-D

I can have faith in two hitters who are 1-for-22. Shit happens.

I can have faith when we're beat 11-9. Shit happens.

But when a team runs itself out of, not one, but two unbelievably great scoring opportunities while giving up two-out run after two-out run, I have a hard time believing in that team.

I'm sorry if this sounds cruel, but as the "smartest fan in baseball," I have to say that I can't believe in a team that can't get the fundamentals right.

Call me if we make it back to 3-3. I have about 2 weeks of work to make up for.

I come into work today and it is like a funeral. I just can't believe it. Does it look good? No. But people are just giving up. Support your team in good times and bad. This is a team that wasn't supposed to be in the playoffs. The Sox haven't won anything yet. If they do, I'll tip my hat and say congrats but it hasn't happen yet and I'm keeping the faith.

Well said. ;-D No matter what happens it's been a helluva ride this year, and I can't remember looking forward a season like I am next year. We just ran into the two hottest teams in baseball. Made it past one, and it looks like two is just one too many. They've definitely surpassed my expectations for this year (mine were much higher than most I think) and this is just icing on the cake for me. Win or lose, I'm not going to abandon them like some will/have. We're not the best fans in baseball for nothing. You gotta keep the faith, but you also have to know when to tip your hat and simply say Boston was a better club this time around if they do pull it off. ;-D
