i'm sad that matsui has been playing so well in the playoffs. i think he is one of the most underrated player in fantasy, almost like garret anderson a couple of years ago.

but because he's been playing so well in the games most people are watching that will raise his value considerably. in this year's draft, at least in some of my leagues, matsui was taken around the 12th, 13th round. i don't think people will let him slip past the 5th round next year.

he was better in almost all his numbers from last year, doubling his HR number, but a-rod and sheff still get all the talk...

I had him as a sleeper last year and people forgot about him, next year everyone will kno, people are already putting him as a top 10 OF (I don't agree with it however).

Took him in the 12th of one league and got him in the 14th round of another. :-)

Quite a few people laughed when I said 25-28 homers. Try 31! ;-D

That said, I probably won't end up with him again next year. I do believe someone will reach a bit early in most drafts.

i agree as well, with this postseason he is having he will jump several rounds in next years drafts......more than likely he will move to the point where he is way too early for me to take him....

I agree. He's definitely increased his fantasy value but there are at least 10 other OF's I would take over him without much hesitation. He probably won't fall past the 8-9 round I wouldn't imagine in deeper leagues.

Matsui

Two straight 100 RBI seasons, has batted around .290-300 in his first two seasons and this season he has hit the amount of homers he was originaly projected to make when he first came up.I think people are a little skeptic with the Japanese imports as far how they adapt to American baseball, but I think Hideki and Ichiro have proven they make it and be a big contribution to their team. I don't really see much improving from this season, but I don't really see these #'s to really decline as long he stays a Yankee and the lineup he is in. I wouldn't mind picking up a 4 tool OF in the 6th-8th round if you ask me. Anything later is a steal.
