To the Braves and Brave fans.......

I have to admit that I thought there was no chance for the Braves this year. Very little pitching, very little hitting. Smoltz of course is a stud, but you need more than that going into the season.

Anyway, I thought their run would be over this season. I really thought the Phillies would win the division. Oops. Atlanta not only won the division, they ran away with it.

Props to the Atlanta players, managers, and their fans . I missed this call and I thought it was a pretty sure bet. Oops .

You make some good points.

I, for 1, was in the minority on them. While I thought that they would be worse this year, I am of the belief that they had earned the right to be the king of the hill until they were knocked off. Might be a little hard to swallow now for Braves fans but they had a nice season.

well, the way i saw it, they didn't have a team good enough to win the division, yet they did. so why couldn't htey win the WS with a team that surly wasn't good enough to do it? i dunno. I think they might have done it if the playoffs had been in July (when the bravos went like 500-2 or something). basically, the braves had healthy, sharp pitchers for one month out of the year, and that was enough to win the east.

kinda pathetic for the phils and marlins, no?
