Any line-up with Cameron hitting 5th is not a good line-up. You generally want your No. 5 hitter to have a better BA than Steve Balboni or Rob Deer.

Who said the Mets had a good lineup? And how many times did Cameron bat in the 5-hole over the course of the season? :-?

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

You sure about that? I don't have any numbers but that doesn't seem right.

LOL :-D

At least he plays good defense to make a mediocre staff look better than it really is. I don't think offense is half the Mets' problems.

Come Opening Day: a likely overpaid Benson, a sore elbowed Zambrano, a 38 year old Leiter & a 39 year old Glavine isn't going to scare anyone either.

Actually, by his standards, his defense was very subpar last year. :-/
