Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

RF is notin but Put-outs+assists per 9 so of course its subjectable to various kinds of outside influences. over the past few years, they've compared Yankees backup SS's RF to Jeter's and they take him to school. but i agree Jeter has played significantly better defense this year, but he's still around the middle. previous years, one of the poorest. if he has a couple more years like this, i'll take it as being a permanent change. ;-D

EDIT: dumb typo.

Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

Well, I'd take Tejada and Renteria over Jeter.... not so sure I believe this "knows how to win" stuff. Kinda falls under the clutch category IMO.

A Rod can't hold the Wizards jock strap in the field.

Well I meant best overall. A-Rod is a ton better than Jeter defensively, maybe that's what's motivating Jeter to play better.

Does anyone still have any questions?

For every so-called "brilliant"/"clutch" play that Jeter makes in the field, there's a bonehead play like that.
