My Shout out for late-season replacements

Postby Chopper » Mon Oct 04, 2004 2:24 pm

I got huge second half assists from a few guys who I missed on all pre and early season watch lists. Big props to:

David Wright - Never even heard of the guy before late July - Where's his weakness?
Tony Batista - 21 HR's since the break
Keith Ginter - Check out those Sept numbers. Few better 2B's.
Aaron Rowand - 5 cats? What a second half.
Ryan Freel - Saved me with late SB's in a couple leagues.
Blessed are the cheesemakers.

Rowand was a great help to me in all my teams. I got lucky and picked him up before he got to be well known.

J.T. Snow was a great late pickup for me. He hit around .450 in the 2nd half. He was a good replacement for when Delgado went cold. ;-D

Rowand and Freel for me as well! ;-D

I also have a "shout" for those who unwittingly dropped players early in the season:
1. Loretta (someone dropped before the season started)
2. Huff (1/4 of the way into the season)

Takatsu helped me win my league Saves category
Coco Crisp also had a heck of a Sept. and helped when it was apparent Wells was going nowhere.

Traded Posada early in the year when I grabbed V-Mart off of waivers
