Tie goes to... whom???

I tied a friend of mine in the championship game 9-9. What criteria is used to decide the winner? He won the last meeting 9-5 and I won the first meeting 13-5. My thoughts were that if you combine the three games I have more points and should win? Right or is it going to come down to post season, or a beer chugging contest?

Depends on the rules that were set-up beginning the season. Yahoo uses the matchup ERA as the first tiebreaker.

My brother set up this league and is the commish, yet he has no idea what the criteria to determine the champ. If it comes down to era I am dead- thanks to the stellar performances of Pedro, Mulder, Oswalt.

Thanks Tavish!

Usually it's ERA..... but since you lost that maybe you can peer-pressure the other guy into a chugging contest to determine the winner. Call him a pansy if he says no.

Well- no chugging contest and Yahoo determined that he was the winner. Bastard!! Kidding he is a good buddy of mine who will be trash talking until spring training begins next year. Well- at least I came in 1st, 1st, 1st, and 2nd- which was alot better than I expected.
