anyone know chipper's status?

Postby great gretzky » Sun Oct 03, 2004 9:43 am

I am in an VERY tight race in money league. Basically, 2.5 points up (in second place)

the third place person needs one win today to take wins, which would knock me down half a point, and if another team wises up and starts glavine and wins, I could lose the other half point.

I am up by six rbi on the third place guy, and behind 2 stolen bases on the third place person.

question is holding rbi or getting those steals back ensures my standing.

with chipper out, trying to determine which is the wiser course.

I could start a player package of jenkins, blalock, chipper, dmitri young, orlando hudson

OR go speed with tike redman, endy chavez, willie harris.

any suggestions? with chipper getting hurt, I would hate to waste a Spot today of all days.

Two SBs is hard to get...with those players. Who knows if Harris or Redman will even play.

I'd rather play it safe and start the first package.

I highly doubt Chipper will play today, though, because the Braves don't have anything to gain...

Chipper isn't playing today. He's going to rest up for the playoffs.

Also I agree with Warrick and play it safe, Tike and Willie are very risky to start and like Warrick said they might not even play. ;-D

thanks.

I didn't list all of my stolen base threats actually, just the players who would be immediately relavant. I also have beltran, abreu, furcal, marcus giles, which is what made the problem so stark.

I guess I could just start the "power" package and hope the former guys can get the sb.
