I'm a big FF guy, and spend time at the FF Cafe(Vikes_Fan2823 :-) ) and I was just wondering about fantasy baseball. I know you look for yards and TD's are bonuses in football, but what stats do you want in fantasy baseball? Hits? RBI's? I know HR's are a bonus, but what is the main stat?

You can't win Fantasy Baseball with just one stat, but a great stat to have that people tend to over look are steals. You can sometimes win the stat with just two players.

Most people tend to draft Ichiro or Juan Piere and think everything will be OK if they get a few steals. But the best thing to do is draft players that can get these (H, AVG, RBI, HR) and steal 20 bases. That way you dont have a guy who just steals but 8-10 guys who do it all and the steals will add up.

If I could get 4-category players and have them all be able to steal 20 in a season, I wouldn't mind... O:-)

Depends on what type of league you are looking to play.

3 main different ones:

Roto
H2H
Points

Once you figure that out, then you need to know what scoring catagories are used in the league.

After that, then it's a lot easier to rank the player's by value and know who would be the best in your scoring system. :-)
