i likewise will be avoiding boone next year at all cost unless he slips past round 12 or so in a 12 team league(which i doubt will happen), cause his o-rank right now is still 102

I'd be willing to take a shot on him if he falls to the 11-12 round range or so, but I doubt he will. I'm not scared about him falling off so much as the M's offense. I realize they won't be this bad next year, but part of his fall off this season has to be due in part to the Mariner's struggles I would think. :-?

That's what I said about Alomar. :~(

True, but think about how Glaus was hitting at the beginning of this year after his eye surgery.

But, then you have to balance that with the case of Aaron Guiel, whose vision still has not fully recovered since May surgery. It's a bit of a crapshoot.

More important to me than the eye surgery is Boone's stated commitment to arrive in better physical condition next season. I expect a solid rebound from Boone next year.

Boone is a FA. I doubt he is back in Seattle next year.

Ditto, I don't see him playing for the M's next year either.
