There is a very nice baseball complex about 2 minutes from our home with 5 diamonds and when we go on our nightly walks we sometimes stop to watch an inning or two.
Yesterday there was a t-ball game going on. I'm pretty bad at guessing ages but I would say they were around 7 years old.
There was an infield hit (they were all infield hits ) and a kid got caught in a "rundown" between 2nd and third. He ran off the basepath and saw how close he was to home plate - so he made a break for home...from second base. He went over the mound and slid into home. All of the parents laughed their asses of and gave the kid a standing ovation.
i have never watched a sport that is as fun to watch than 7 and 8 year old T ball games........you never know what will and can happen on any given play......
Any sport where single mothers take their kids to play is good in my book....
Soccer Moms....

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
T-Ball is awesome to watch, but trust me you don't wanna umpire it
I umped a whole game of T-ball and they didn't make one out. Not a single one. But it is funny to watch I remember when I played, we had a kid who always struck out - in T-Ball, I mean come on!
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
Always fun to take a few steps back and watch those who actually play the sport for fun. I've watched a few little league and T-Ball games in my life when I needed to get priorities straight again.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

i have been umping t ball games for several years now, and have enjoyed every single game.....it gives me a break from high school games and aau games, as i love to see the enjoyment in a kids eyes as they hit the ball into the grass and get a inside the park hr(with 4 errors of course)..... u just cant beat the enthusiasm and the sportsmanship from the kids compared to the bigger boys.....
