Who's the Lefty in the pen for the Yanks in the playoffs?

right now, they have halsey(7.62 ERA), heredia(6.57), and nitkowski(7.36)...will they put any of those guys on the playoff roster? this is just a curiosity, because this might turn out to be a big weakness for them...

Most likely Heredia, but he ain't going to be called upon to get a tough lefty out in a tight spot during the playoffs. Torre will most likely rely on Gordon to come in to get out a lefty in a tight spot, and if necessary, use Gordon for 2 plus innings and Rivera for more than one inning. It wouldn't make sense to use the undependable Heredia in such a tight spot.

usually the yanks have someone every year to step up in the playoffs, such as heredia last year, mendoza in 01 and make their "weak" looking bullpen look super strong so it would not suprise me if it happened again this year.....

The only way a lefty gets into a close post season game for the Yankees is if Gordon or Rivera suddenly decides to display an ability to pitch with the opposite hand.
