So, I gave some guys some start up capital a year or two ago and their product went live today. It's basically a music downloading site and I'm looking for some suggestions. They've got 500,000 songs in their library and I'm trying to discover which artists are not yet in their library.
I've already discovered that I can't find anything by Peter Laughner, the Dead Boys, My Dad is Dead, and a few others. Actually, their selection of early protopunk seems to be lacking. But are we missing any other names or artists? I just don't know enough about some types of music to give too many more names.
So if you've got a few minutes, will you check it out and let me know if we're missing anyone else?
i think they could improve their metal collection.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Iced Earth, Rammstein, Bad Religion, AC/DC,Tool, Perfect Circle, Megadeth,Pantera, Offspring, more Korn, Linkin Park,Blind Guardian,Evanescence,Van Halen, Alice in Chains.
They seem to have trouble getting many of the same artists that other outfits have had trouble with....
Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead (more), Smashing Pumpkins (more), Orgy, Pearl Jam, Steve Miller, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Foghat, Rolling Stones
Thank you all for your input. But I've called the guys who are doing this and asked them about the missing bands and what they've told me is this: The missing bands were caused by Sony jerking us around. They should be up in a day or two. The guy from EMI seems to have also stopped sending things in the middle.
So I'll ask for the same favor after they upload these songs.
its pretty wierd when you go to a music download site and search for black sabbath and it tells you "no matches found".
dunno what their target audience etc. but i could suggest some good, currently popular HM bands- lamb of god, slipknot, Shadows Fall, Superjoint Ritual, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir etc.

I thought the same thing when I tried Van Halen. I can kinda understand Iron Maiden and Judas Priest (and definitely Iced Earth), but Van Halen? Really...
