Didn't Soriano have TJ surgery? He won't be doing much of anything in 2005.
And yeah, other than K-Rod, we'll have to wait to see who will be closing for certain teams in 2005. I think the Jays are sticking with Batista though...... we're too cheap to go and get a real closer.

If your team is cheap, why not just start Batista and give Frasor another chance next year??
Good possibility Mota is. Only I way I don't is if Troy Percival goes real cheap. Even if Mota is far superior, I'm sure McKeon would go with the guy with closer experience.

I'd like to see Batista remain a SP too. We have so many young arms to turn into closers (Speier, Nakamura, Chulk, Frasor) that it seems ridiculous to remove one of our best starters from the rotation. Granted, he isn't a good starter, but outside of Lilly and Halladay, he's the guy I'd want on the mound.
