Hurricane Ivan.....blew.

Postby Pablo975 » Sun Sep 19, 2004 9:11 am

Just got power back here in our neighborhood. Luckily, I made it through without much damage. Just sat without power for two days and lost all the food in my fridge....and couldn't check on my teams....grrrr....small price to pay for living right?

Anyway, I would just like to encourage everyone to donate to the Salvation Army and Red Cross if you can. They are doing a bang up job here and in South Florida and could really use the help as lots of folks around here still have no power, water, or food. Lots of damage and quite a few lives lost.

i am glad u made it through ivan ok....as i have had a few problems with hurricanes as well in the past 5 years or so.....hurricane fran put a tree through my living room in 96 and kept me without power for only about 12 days and hurricane floyd "almost" flooded my house in 99 as well as the rivers waters got to my first step of my house...... but luckily both times i have come through them ok with no personal tragedy or such, and i had some good homeowners insurance as well.......... ;-)

Glad to hear you made it thru the hurricanes OK... ;-D ...like you said, being without power for a few days is a small price to pay compared to what some went thru... :,-(

My friend just bought a house in Orange Beach, Ala. He made exactly 2 home owner insurance payments so far. He ended up with a tree through his roof.

Screw the food. As long as the beer is alright!
