True, because many Negro League stats are said to be somewhat inaccurate. That may be a good reason to have everybody vote on the teams, in addition to stats......

Yes, this might be difficult but not impossble. Everyone who ever saw Josh Gibson, Satchel Paige, Charleston, etc. play said they were great players. Bill James even ranks Charleston as the 4th greatest player of all time. We'll have to rely on subjective observations. From what I understand Gibson was Babe Ruth playing behind the plate. If that is true, wouldn't that make him the greatest player ever?

We have complete stats for most Japanese players. There's a certain Japanese player I want... :-°
