Things are looking good so far with the online simulator, the socket code and basic game simulation is in place. Now just the fun part of reworking all the little goodies and creating the computer AI. When the basic stuff is in place for that I might need some playtester help. Here's whats planned for the simulator for anyone interested:
Live online text simulation.
You will be able to manage your team in many different fashions.
Low level - Set-up your rotation and basic strategy at the start of the season and let the computer handle everything that comes up, from spot starting and position player days off.
Mid level - Set up your lineups and pitching rotation for each indivdual game and let the computer handle the game decisions based on your preset basic strategy.
High level - Full depth batter by batter control of your team, from signaling for a steal, sacrifice or pitchout to warming up your closer and bringing him in to shut the game down. If both managers are present you can play live online against your opponent.
Fatigue for pitchers and position players.
Based on real life historical stats. How those stats are selected is still wide open for discussion.
Player trading.
Any other suggestions, concerns, questions let me know.
