Why didn't Hermanson get the save?

He pitched the last inning in a 3 run win by the Giants.

I've been surfing around for 20 mintues now wondering the same thing. When you read the game recap on most websites, it's mentions that Hermanson saved his 14th game in 16 chances, but the save isn't showing up in boxscores or anywhere else. I need this save and I'm sure it'll be there soon enough.

It was a save, MLB.com just messed up. It'll show up sooner or later.

Hermanson is credited at Yahoo with a save now. ;-D

is there any reason to think he wont be closing for the Giants next season.. seems they've found themselves a decent closer

It took several hours for sportsline as well, but they finaly credited it a save.
