I don't normally post stuff about charities and fundraisers, but this did catch my eye since it's for the children, and it is a good cause:
Just an FYI if you are planning on eating out on the 20th this might be a good place to go.
Did you know that September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month? You can do your part to help kids facing tough battles with cancer...all you have to do is GO OUT TO EAT!!!
On Monday, September 20th, 100% of ALL profits from 758 company-owned Chili's Grill & Bar restaurants will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. (Many of the 145 U.S. franchise locations are also participating.) St. Jude is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. The hospital freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay.
So please spread the word to your friends, family and co-workers. Have lunch or dinner at your local Chili's on September 20th and help St. Jude in the fight against childhood cancer.
Just something to consider if you plan on eating out Monday.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I heard about this too...Chili's has had a partnership for the past month or so where you can donate a dollar or two on your final bill to fight childhood cancer...and this Monday is like the climax of the month-long event. It's my favorite restaurant anyways, so I'll be there.
will have to tell my wife about this one, as it will be another reason for me to go to chilis this monday nite.......along with the great food and definitely my favorite place to eat.........
England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
