I use AresLite and am happy with it. No spyware is installed with it and has good variety and no messed up files. If you live on a college campus you can try i2hub. Click on the link to see if you are compatible with it...Since I live off campus I can't use it anymore :~(

Well I've been trying out Ares today and it's been very irritating. It takes forever for it to finally connect to a download. When I see that a file has around 50 sources, I wouldn't expect it to have so much trouble finding one of those sources to download from. Might be back to BearShare for me.

I've tried Ares, WinMx and BearShare. I would rank them in that order. Ares has been great for me, so I can't complain.
