2005 Real Salary Yahoo Keeper PROBOARD CREATED, REGISTER NOW

Postby jamesfinch » Thu Sep 09, 2004 3:00 pm

Earlier this year there was a similar league advertised but unfortunately spaces filled up very fast. The idea is as follows:

Every player is assigned their current real-life contract and so if you draft that player, you are responsible for it.

You must stay withing the salary cap that will be agreed upon in a meeting some time this winter.

This is surely the ultimate fantasy league, more realistic than any other, anyone interested please reply to this post.

All details can be decided at a meeting this winter (H2H or Roto and salary cap) and we can choose where to hold our meeting when everyone has posted their preferences (YIM, MSN, AOL).

I can construct a full website with all players rosters on it and best of all the league will be FREE. Post away...

i would be interested. would it be with contract salary and years? sounds like it could be a good idea. i would only be in if it's a roto league though.

I guess the details could be decided when we get together. Probably years left on the contract would be taken into account and when the real-life contract expires we could have an auction for that player and the highest bidder takes him on the salary he bid, not the one the player is given after Free Agency.

Well, thats 2, plenty more room left. I guess a league of 10-12 will be best.

Am interested. PM me if it's go. No preference Roto or H2H.

Might be tough for me to do a live draft (am fine with an autodraft or having players selected for my team based on a listing, etc.).

I am new to Fantasy Baseball Cafe, but not new to fantasy baseball. Looks like a great league that you are building and I would be interested in joining. Let me know, thanks jamesfinch.
