Well, I've made strides. The current score is:

My closest yet. Yesterday, I dropped the ball on spot starters, and wasn't able to pick anyone up from the FA list.

However, today is another story.

Long list, but I thought I might as well add them in. I'n leaning towards Byrd, and maybe Lowry or Armas. I don't trust Hudson, I think this start is when he blows up.

Byrd and Arroyo. Although Arroyo is going up against the Skanks, he's pitched well enough the past month for me to pupt faith in him. Byrd is going against a kid who has had 1 ML start prior to this one. He's a for sure choice imo.

I'd go with Byrd only, I don't feel too comfortable with any of the others.

I agree about Byrd, I already picked him up.

My second choice is harder. Arroyo? Armas? Lowry? I don't know...

Definitely agree with Byrd and then it's a crapshoot.

Put a line through Tony Armas (pitching at Citizens), Arroyo (facing the Yankees and El Duque), Hudson (up against the Cubbies and C.Zam), Waechter, Wood, Mulholland and Van Benschoten (just because they're are no good), Towers (awful home record) and Lowry (bad matchup against Peavy).

That leaves it between Ponson who has a great matchup against Grandad Mulholland but on the downside the Twins are hot right now and Meche who has pitched well of late and faces Zito. I guess it's a risk either way but my preference would be for Meche.

So rather longwinded, but Byrd and Meche would be my two.
