Too late for you today, but I agree w/ just picking up Lieber... The hardest part of catching up on your innings during the last month is being able to show restraint!!! yesterday I had the winning trio of
Arroyo, Lowry, and Hudson pulling some major stats for me but they were also pitching against Sea, AZ (w/o RJ) and Mil. (w/o)
Sheets. I wouldn't really dabble too much in pitching against the astros just because their losing some games right now, you still have roughly 3 weeks left in the season, so choose your pitchers sparingly, BTW how many innnings left do you have?
and Finally my FA Pickups for tomorrow... any braves or mets starting 9 you can grab due to their double header... For Pitchers
I've added floyd and byrd to my roster and I'll see if my good luck in FA pickups continues!!!

DAY 5:

The anti-thesis of Day 4. I've got good news, great news, and wonderful news.

GOOD NEWS:

I decided to go with Lowry after all, and I'm glad I did. Sorry, NZFan, but nobody pitches that badly against the D-Backs twice.

GREAT NEWS:

First place finally went down a point to 107.5, whilst I went up 1.5.

WONDERFUL NEWS:

Somebody dropped Joe Nathan. Guess who picked him up.

I think he dropped Nathan because he's getting rid of all his closers (He also dropped Frasor) and going with a pure-starter strategy. Works for me.

But now, that leaves a question: What middle reliever to drop? I already dropped Leiber because I won't need him tomorrow (and a fat load of good he did me tonight, actually, it was the defense's fault) for Nathan. I'm going to drop Arroyo, and.... and...

I'm leaning towards Rincon because Ryan's K/9 is unfathomable for a middle reliever and Linebrink has been on point all season. Thoughts?

Also, two starters for tomorrow: There are a couple of young guns going on the FA, but anyway, here's the list:

Paul Byrd at NYM
Jae Weong Seo vs. Atl (same game as Byrd)
Sun-Woo Kim at Fla
Jon Miller vs. Bal
Bruce Chen at Tor (same game as Miller)
Gavin Floyd at Cin
Juan Dominguez at Oak
Brad Halsey at KC

I'm leaning strongly towards Byrd and Floyd, although Halsey is nearly guaranteed a win (pitching against Brian Anderson, whose stats indicate he's been throwing with the wrong hand) and Dominguez could surprise.

Byrd is the only one I would feel comfortable grabbing.

according to mlb.com Byrd will go up against Aaron Heilman. so i'd be pretty comfortable starting him.

if you need a second starter i'd go with Halsey. Floyd will be on a strict pitch counts cos hes thrown a lot of innings this year.
