The trade deadline is over. I'm 2nd pick on the waiver wire. Is it "the done thing" to do a deal with the guy with the 1st pick to both drop players in a pseudo trade? Might be a bit dicey?
If both of you are cutting valuable players, then I would suggest NOT doing it, and if the league has anyone with a brain, they will figure out that you guys "colluded" which is illegal.
So with that said, I would not do it.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I would definitely have a problem with it, it is collusion even if it helps out both teams.
Your league has a trading deadline that every other player must abide by. No other teams can make this type of maneuver. Assuming normal trades have a veto restriction, this circumvents it (again it doesn't really make much a difference to me whether the trade would be vetoed or not).
I would suggest next year just removing the trade deadline if people are wanting to make moves through the entire season.

I agree....
Something like this happened in a league of mine last year and things really got ugly....and unfortunately we lost two good owners because of it...
I wouldn't suggest doing it....
Useless Trivia of the day
England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
I wouldn't allow it in my league. The trade deadline is over and the player who drops his player first is doing so not to improve his team, so it's a violation of Yahoo's rules. We don't use most of Yahoo's rules, but that wouldn't be allowed anyway.
I hope the first guy to drop his player gets screwed when the other guy doesn't follow suit
Unique things like this such as, "if you give me Bonds now, I'll give you A-Rod in the off-season" don't fly with me. The trade deadline means trades are done.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
