I don't think Upton is too much of a sleeper, like Morneau most people know about him. My short list is Foppert, Williams, Ankiel, Edwin J. and Kearns. I really like Registered Guest's list
My vote goes for Justin Morneau. He has roughly 200 At bats this year and 16 home runs. Give him 600 At bats as he will start, and your on pace for 48 home runs. Now thats gonna be a sleeper.
Reminds me too much of Ensberg, small amount of at bats, huge potential. He was supposed to be this year "best sleeper 3bman", I dont think it turned out too well. He has potential but like any sleeper, its either go big or bust.
Morneau and Ensberg have nothing in common. I don't see how you can compare the two. Morneau is only 23, and has been tabbed as a future HR masher since he was signed. Ensberg is already 29, and was never regarded as having more than respectable power. You could be right on Morneau (doubt it), but Ensberg was simply a decent guy who got wildly overrated by lots of fantasy owners.
morneau will be way too hyped to be a sleeper next year
on the other hand, joe mauer will get not hype after his lousy, injury filled season. he'll be a good value pick late in drafts, especially if you can get him as your backup
i liked edwin jackson for this year, and i still think he has great potential. he'll be a late pickup or a WW acquisition in most standatd leagues
ill probably bite on the kearns hype again next year.

hard to say off the top of my head. he'll go around where guys like tiexiera and reyes went this year if your league has competent owners. that will be a little too early for me.

Teix went in round 8 in my 14-team league, while Reyes fell all the way to me in round 22 (and then produced 22nd-round value ).
What with some of the 1b falling off this year (Giambi, Sweeney, etc) I'd bet Morneau probably lands somewhere in rounds 8-12.
Bad compare with Ensberg, a guy who kinda scuffled along through the minors and then broke from reality last year. Morneau has raked all the way through the minors - with power - and Minnesota's tendency to hold its guys back a little extra seems to have landed him ready to go in the bigs.
yeah, morneau going aroud round 8 sounds about right. everybody knows about him, so not a sleeper.
i'm not drafting kearns nor josh phelps again. kearns cuz i can't stand his injuries anymore and phelps, well, is he even gonna play next year? he should go back to alaska!
RG's list looks pretty good, i also like rios for next year, even though he has only one homer, he's been hitting for good avg.

J7 has a good list. In my book, a sleeper should be someone that most people are not generally aware, not guys like Morneau and Upton who practically everyone who plays fantasy baseball think will be valuable players next year. For example, this year it would have been guys like Burnitz, Cordero, or Carpenter, who either were not on people's radar screen or where deemed to be damaged goods but have provided good value. It is finding guys who are undervalued, not pointing to top 20 prospects that everyone knows about.
