What has Matt Morris Got?

Postby Sunspot » Fri Sep 03, 2004 11:03 pm

So with his great performance tonight, should we say he is back to form?, does he have something on the Dodgers?, or was it just a good night?

I love Matt Morris... the guy was a major reason that I won my league the season he came back from the arm sugery. Still, I think he's on the downside of his career. Even on a good day now, he's lost 5+ mph from where he used to be. He can still have awesome outings like tonight, but don't expect another 22 win season again.

he has looked a lot better lately. supposedly he was around 94-95 last night which is pretty close to where he used to be. also, his home runs allowed have decreased substantially from the beginning of the season. i would say it safe to start him at busch from now on but maybe avoid the unfavorable road starts.
