one is coming off an injury, so there is an excuse there, but Vaz the razzed is completely not the pitcher that the Yankees expected. although honestly this year, they have both been monumental busts...

Well, it depends what you mean.
Prior's busting can be attributed to injury, but if injuries count then he is the bigger bust.
But Vazquez has been the far greater dissapointment disregarding injuries. There were a lot people with very high hopes for Javy going into the season but he has let everyone down.

Prior was injured before the season started, yet some people still wasted a 1st round pick on him. I passed on him and I almost always grab a stud SP early. Vaz went a little later (I paased on him as well) and some astute fantasy scholars noted that pitching for the NYY and in the AL East is a whole lot different and tougher than his situation before. Hence I say Prior is the bigger bust because more people took him earlier in the draft. Still anyone with common sense could see that both these guys weren't going to live up to the hype.

Someone drafted him in the first in my league too, I don't understand why they would take someone out for an extended period of time as their first rounder.

perhaps b/c the Cubs were so cagey about what exactly was wrong with him? A lot of that depended on when ones draft was and which rumors were floating around at that time.
That being said, I am about ready to dump Vazquez onto waivers when Horacio Ramirez comes back. Sheesh!!

One guy took Prior with the second overall pick in one of my leagues!!! I was third and got Pujols!!! And with my seond pick I took Schmidt...that worked out for me, thats for sure.
As for Javy, I was asked about him before the season started, and I couln't even figure out why I was so down on him, but I'm certainly glad I was.
