Are you Jimy Williams??
Triple A #'s:
Bruntlett (27 yrs old in '05): .250 6 HR 37 RBI 14 SB 13 errors 350 AB's 12 doubles
Burke (25 yrs old in '05): .313 15 HR 50 RBI 37 SB's 10 errors 473 AB's 33 doubles -- PCL Rookie of the Year; one of the top 2B prospects in the game & one of the best leadoff guys in the high minors right now.
The only reason Brunlett is up is because Burke would not have gotten regular PT with Kent still in Houston.
This is absolutely no contest whatsoever. Even Jimy wouldn't of done something this insane......would he???

So you think a 26 year old prospect that can't hit above .260 in Triple A will get the job over a 24 year old prospect hitting well over .300 in Triple A? Not to mention Burke has better power numbers and BB/K ratio.
You can see why I don't quite believe you. Even if they did say he has the job to lose next year, he will lose it.

Are Rivas and Koskie both free agents at the end of this year?

Ahhh...even more of a reason to like them as a sleeper in the AL playoffs.

re: brandon phillips
from what i read, belliard is a free agent after this year. if the indians don't re-sign him, thats good news for phillips. do you guys think belliard will get resigned? i know he has been playing well for most of the season, but hes also been hitting in the 8 or 9 hole as of late. if they are going to bring up perhalta, they might as well bring up his double play partner at the same time, whats the point of waiting? arent they rebuilding anyways?
btw, coco crisp is the man!
Without ME it would just be AWESO.
