I know he was originally supposed to be a 3B.

Actually I think 2B is his natural position. Then the Phillies moved him to 3B and then back to 2B. There was an article about moving him to OF on Phillies.com at the beginning of the month but I haven't read anything since.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Playing him where? CF looks to be the only position open, which I doubt he could play. Unless Abreu switches, it seems hard to believe.

The article was on MLB.com. They never played him in the OF when Burrell when on the DL but I had read other notes about it on Phillies' fan sites which is why I posed it as a question. If they decided to move Utley to the OF permanently obviously another move would have to be made to accomodate him.

I think Phillips and Peralta will comprise of the middle infield in Cleveland next year.

Burke should be a Top 12 2B in Houston. Depending on who's around him in the AZ lineup, I might be inclined to take Burke over Hairston.

Weeks won't be anything more than a Sept. callup next year.

Never have liked Barfield -- for the very reason you stated (K-prone). Not to mention Petco.

Yeah I saw it, I just think it's unlikely is all (but weirder things have happened heh). Isn't Polanco a FA after this year? Not sure, but if he is they should just let him play 2B next year.

Nick Green of the Braves, if he can find some playing time.

Todd Walker could end up being a sleeper. I think he's a free agent after this year and if he ends up with a starting job he will be a very good 2b.

WHat about Kaz Matsui. THere is talk of him and Reyes switching positions next year which will make him extremly valuable.
