Are you ready for some Football?

Postby Amazinz » Tue Aug 17, 2004 8:39 pm

Maybe you're wondering why I am posting a football league in the FBC classifieds. I am already involved in several leagues over at the FFC but thought it'd be fun to take on a motley crew of FBC rejects. This is a pretty simple, straight forward redraft league. Looking for dedicated owners who enjoy a little good-natured trash talk. Think you can beat the Amazin' one in football?

Please pay attention to the league details. Make sure you can make the live draft and that you understand the scoring. The scoring system is pretty standard (so you chumps you can use ESPN cheat sheets :-D). Thanks. ;-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

It's just a league a guy put together on his own website, he does all the scoring by himself. It's a really fun league with recruiting and everything. There might be an opening this year I'm not really sure if the commish has found a replacement yet, so if your interested PM me and I'll get back to you about it.
EDIT: I go to check the league homepage and see they've found a replacement, so no luck if you were interested.

That must be a lot of work for one guy. I would be very interested, but it seems a bit difficult if you ask me. The stats are very hard to manage, and some unknown players tend to suceed under the radar. I heard last year some guy broke the NCAA record for TDs (or was it yards?). And isnt it hard to recruit people? I dont know about you but I know relatively nothing about high school football players. I'd like to see how it is being run, so if you don't mind could you give me a link the league?

Due to a lack of interest I am deleting this league. :,-(

Season kickoff is fast approaching and I would like to enter an active league. I thought this would be fun but oh well. Sorry for any inconvenience I cause anyone.
