taken over 4 months longer than we all thought, but Jose Mesa has finally recaptured his 2003 touch.

3 blown saves in the last 2 weeks after going 4 months with only 1. And now today's debacle.

For those that traded him before the deadline ;-D

I've got to think there's a real shot the Bucs give Mike Gonzalez a few shots at closing down the stretch. He's been sensational, and if he shows an ability to notch saves, the Pirates won't need to even offer Mesa a renewal.
