Most everyone agrees that Thome is a great player, but I always see people talk bad about Dunn. Look at those numbers and tell me they are not VERY similar players, and I will tell you. you are crazy
Dunn seems to have finally made the leap to top tier 1B....as long as your league doesn't count Ks anyway. Good pickup for you Dunn-Believers out there...I wasn't one of them, unfortunately.

Very similar this year, but let's see Dunn do this for another 2 or 3 seasons before we can start comparing them.
I was a believer this season and grabbed Dunn in the late rounds of a few of my leagues and then sold high on him to improve overall average.
People will take a few seasons of this kind of production to wipe out the memories of getting badly burnt in 2003 by the big guy.

I am not saying that he is great, but remember that he is only 24 and he has already (this season) putting up a great year. I predicted he would do good this year in the Projections (???) forum, and I am glad he is doing it now.
K's count in my league, but there are 10 other offensive categories, so he helps in a big way.
I agree he has tremendous upside. He now just needs to deliver consistently and that means doing this again in 2005.
I've always had a lot of time for him and remember a discussion I had with someone in here in late May when I predicted he would hit closer to 50 Hr's than 35 and got trashed for it.
I must look back to see who that was

Same here. Now that Dunn's average is respectable, he's not a bad option in most leagues. I need to see him finish the season and still be around .280 for me to fully believe though.

Dunn is a Keeper. He even gets a stolen base here and there.
If trading Dunn for Drew was one of your bigger mistakes I'd love to see the moves you made that you deem worthy.
Drew and Dunn have virtually identical numbers across the board. You're basically trading AVG for HR.
