beltran is still a four category performer and an elite on at that. he may not have avg, but bonds and manny don't have steals. so you have to go and draft someone else to compensate, thus may be a drag in some other cat, like beltran is in average. i don't get that arguemnt.
If it uses Avg. then yeah I agree he isn't worthy of a Top 10 spot overall so far this year.
Next year will be very interesting. It would be wrong to look at just 2004 numbers to assess whether A -Rod is a first rounder or not. You have to use cummulated 3 year numbers at least and if you do, for sure A-Rod is a genuine 1st rounder.
But he won't go No.1 in many leagues if he continues his 2004 production.

Stolen bases are huge when evaluating a players value in standard roto scoring. Far outweighing HR's, Runs and RBI's. Average is nearly as important though and that is where A-Rod and Beltran fall down. Beltran in particular, he just could not be rated Top 10 with a .262 avg.
If you used OBP then it is a different story.
