I play in a 7-team AL-only keeper league and I own him ;-D

Until I started playing fantasy sports as much as I do now I didn't know what platooning was either. It seems like second nature at the cafe, but I see where you're coming from ;-)

Upton is sitting occasionally vs. righties and getting all starts vs. lefties. So it's a semi-platoon.

Obviously, his value for this season is pretty limited. But wow, what a prospect. He's as natural as it gets in the batter's box. This is one kid who will live up to all the hype.

This is such an assanine remark. There are a couple of reasons why this guy could be on rosters.

1. Keeper league - self explanatory
2. Hot hand - he is batting almost .500 over the last week
3. Risk/reward - look at what Reyes did last year, he could come up big the month or two.

I hate when people just try to be a smart ass and make someone feel dumb, when in fact they are the one making ridculous statements.

What about Crosby?

Would you take Upton over Crosby, for the rest of the year (non-keeper league)?

You hit it that right on the head of the nail, Nails. There are a lot of leagues that could use Upton. Not every league, but in some cases, he's not ww material.

He's been on my squad the last 10 days or so. Hit his first HR tonight. He makes a good player to have this season even if h is streaky. I dont see why anyone wouldn't want him in a not so deep position.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

I picked him up 4 days ago to replace Reyes and wanted to take a chance on him instead of picking up Rollins who has been very hot, bad move?? maybe, but Im hoping Upton has more days like tonight :-D
