Heres the trade and then some details:

I give: Derek Lee, Gagne, Carlos Zambrano
I get: Pujols and Hampton

Right off the bat I was thinking no but i've given some thought, heres my lineup:

C- J. Lopez
1B- David Ortiz
2B- Vidro
3B- Quinlin
SS- Jeter
OF-Vlad
OF- Carlos Lee
OF- Garrett Anderson
Util- Derek Lee

SP-Santana
SP-Mulder
SP-Schilling
SP-Pedro Martinez (trade should go through tomorrow to get him)
SP- C. Zambrano
SP-Jaret Wright
SP- Bartolo
SP-Zito
SP-Ismael Valdez
RP: Gagne, Nathan

My pitching can survive w/o Zambrano.

In my eyes, closers are overvalued. I can pick up Tom Gordon and get everything but saves from him. (lower ERA, WHIP, K's)...

Im very willing to trade Gagne and in fact I want to.

I lose run scored EVERY week and Pujols leads in that category overall.

Im very serious about accepting, but would like some 2nd opinions. I believe i've given valid reasoning above of why it makes sense for me to do it! Lemme know if im way off gaurd! Thanks

Deadline is in 3 days, wanna get this done!

ALso, its a 12 team head to head yahoo pay league. Im in first place by 11.5 games.

if there's any way you could pick up a closer in that deal in place of hampton, i would definitely consider it... you are very deep at sp and the loss of carlos zambrano doesn't seem to hurt you much at all.... but i guess you could survive and get by with nathan and gordon at rp.... but i would just try to get a rp to be safe ;-D
