Rotoworld is reporting the same thing.... :-/

Ken Griffey Jr. will miss the rest of the season with a torn hamstring.
Another year ended early for Griffey, who hasn't even had a 100-game season since 2001. He's scheduled for surgery on Monday. Because of the injury, Austin Kearns will get a chance to play regularly if/when he returns. Wily Mo Pena will also spend the rest of the season as a full-time player

What is the problem with him and Cincy.... !+)

Man, I feel really bad for him. No one deserves this kind of treatment year after year. If your Griffey and you want to play, you HAVE to go to the AL to DH.

I feel bad for Junior. He needs to get out of Cincinatti. It has cursed him.

I think this is the offseason that he finally will move to the AL again. He proved he can still play before he got hurt, so that should spike some interest. I figure Cincy will have to eat at least some of his contract, but they should be able to get a team to take on a lot of it.

For what its worth, he went the "over" on my over/under of 50 games. So maybe it was a successful season for a 18th round selection.
