Anyone Know Koyie Hill?

Postby Sunspot » Wed Aug 11, 2004 8:20 am

Looking for some info on this guy. Was he a top prospect? I am getting fed up with LeCroy as my second catcher and need to find a replacement. Two years ago I grabbed Josh Phelps at the end of the year and he helped me toward winning my league, is there any catchers like that coming soon?

I guess I am the only person interested in the Diamondbacks everyday catcher. Looks like you are all going to make me research this myself. Oh Well

Hill was one of the Dodgers better catching prospects. He was hitting .286 with 13 HR and 26 doubles in 350 AAA at bats. He walked 28 times while fanning 69 times. He's a switch hitter who can spray the ball to all fields. With time, Hill should become a useful fantasy option. I'm starting him in my 14 team/30 players per team dynasty with Mauer on the DL.

He was picked up last week in my NL-only redraft league.

Would you drop LeCroy for him? or is there any other waiver fodder that would be better?
