Guardado and Rafael Soriano get bad news

If you've been holding onto Everyday Eddie, forget about it. He has a torn rotator cuff. That's it for him till 2006, or at best late 2005.

As for Soriano, he's heading for Tommy John surgery with a torn elbow ligament.

These were both just announced on Seattle game broadcast.

Poor Seattle.

I am upset about Soriano a lot more than Guardado. Raphael has a lot of potential and this surgery will probably set him back a year. I mean countless times pitchers have proven how hard it is to come back after TJS. But if you are looking for early 2006 sleepers, look no further than Soriano.

What a bust Soriano has been, I got him in the 17th round in my keeper league and thought that was a steal and thought he could have a year similar to Johan last year. Hopefully he'll return back to 2003 form in 06.

All I have to say is it sucks that easy eddie will be gone for a while, but at least the Giants didn't trade for him at the deadline!!!!

So glad I traded for Guardado and then had the injury announced, the dl stint announced, and then announced that he wouldn't be coming back.

He never even made it on my team log.
